“Ten Virtues of Koh” is a list of benefits delivered from the use of incense. “Koh” is the translation of fragrance or incense in Japanese. It was written by Huang Tingjian, a poet of the Northern Song dynasty in China in 11th century, and Ikkyu Sojun, Japanese Zen Buddhist monk and poet, spread it to Japan. It shows Koh has a significant effort to raise happiness for people in universal point of view and it would be accepted beyond era and culture. It also captures the spirit of traditional art of appreciating the scents of aromatic wood.
